TAE (Tris-Acetate-EDTA , 20X, 50X) Buffer is the most commonly used buffer for agarose DNA electrophoresis, and originally used at a working strength of 1X or 0.5X for agarose gel electrophoresis.

Premixed electrophoresis buffers eliminate variables which can distort data and give unreliable results.

Composition
(20X)
- 800 mM Tris-acetate
- 20 mM EDTA
- pH at 25°C (1X) : 8.2-8.4.

(50X)
- 2 M Tris-acetate
- 50 mM EDTA
- pH at 25°C (1X) : 8.2-8.4.

Recommended Storage Condition
- Store at Temperature (22–25°C)
